Multi-Location Retailer Increases Online Sales by 876% in Under A Year

A multi-location retailer was looking to improve its online visibility and increase the number of online orders it received through its website.

We reviewed the website’s analytics, specifically looking for pages with a low visitor duration time and high bounce rate. We determined that the majority of product pages had a lower than normal dwell time and was likely due to poor quality images and not enough content. We discovered that the company had online reputation issues, specifically related to its return policy. Also, no blog existed.

Our first initiative was to write product descriptions for over 200,000 products. We worked in conjunction with the client to revise the return policy and then helped establish positive new press about the “no hassle” return policy. We created follow-up campaigns that: (1) encouraged repeat purchases through consumable reminders, (2) reminded visitors of items that were left in virtual shopping cart to reduce shopping cart abandonment, (3) identified product add-ons after purchase, (4) encouraged writing reviews on products, the shopping experience and more.
